v6-v8 Radiator question

Is it absolutely necessary to swap radiators? I read the faq and my upper hose is on the passenger side. Are there dimensional differences between the v6/v8 rads or what?

Thanks

The dimensions are different. The V6 radiator would be seriously challenged keeping a V8 cool.

Re: v6-v8 Radiator question

I kinda had a feeling since i have to turn my fan on unless I'm going on the freeway to keep my 2.8 cool.

Thanks

Would my best bet be to go to schucks and get a 'replacement' radiator for a v8 3rd gen? I see the direct-fit radiators from Summit are a little controversial in terms of ... well, working.

I got a Modine replacement from a local radiator shop. You might look on www.radiators.com as well.

Re: v6-v8 Radiator question

I have a 3-row brass v-8 radiator in mine that I'm swapping out for a big aluminum rad this weekend. It is 6 months old and in great condition if you are interested....PM me.

Thanks,

Boo
