I own a 1987 camaro sport coupe with a lg4 and a 700r tranny, my question is can i drop a big block such as a 427 or a 454 in my car and bolt it right up to my 700r tranny, will a big block even fit, some one please point me in the right direction

Welcome to thirdgen.org.

I moved this out of somebody else's thread to its own.

Start by reading the BBC swap stickies in the top section of this forum. Basically, the answers to your questions are "yes", but after that it starts getting difficult.

Re: BBC Swap Question

It'll bolt to that 700R4 but that poor transmission will be screaming in pain almost immediately, i blew one up with a really mild 350, and a 305. good luck with your swap, sport coupes rock, i'd love to put a big block in mine
