Ok there's a guy down the road selling a performance rebuilt 400 short block for around 300-400 bucks. I know him and it is not a scam, guess it was just a change in direction or something. I have a set of World SR Torquers(the 67cc). Would these heads work well on a 400? If so what cam? What could I expect with this? I know about the steam holes and they don't scare me from a 400 build. Is there anything else to worry about?

The heads will fit, but if was a performance rebuild, it probably has 4-valve-relief flat top pistons in it. With 67cc chambers, compression will be pretty high. If the heads haven't been ported, they should be, as World left them pretty rough.

Keep the cam mild, because the heads won't be able to handle much flow for that big of an engine. Something like a Comp XE268 would be about all they could use. Of course, that would make for a high dynamic CR, which isn't what you necessarily want.

Depends what you want to do with the car.

You can make those heads work. While doing the porting, open up the chambers a little around the valves - some smart work there will improve flow, bring the chamber volume where you want it, and work very well.

You really need to know what pistons are in it, how far they are in the hole, etc., and choose heads and gaskets from there.
