ok so i have given up looking for a 1 piecs rear main 350 for my 88 iroc that had a 305(tpi 5 speed) so im going to use a 2 piecs rear main wth a flywheel out of a 1980(i think its a 153 tooth what ever is stock on a 88 305tpi) corvet my? is what size cluch do i need?

1980 would be 2-piece rear main seal. If it's a Camaro, it's a 14" 168-tooth flywheel. I'm not sure about other models in 1980.
1982-1985 (certainly 1983-1985) would be 153-tooth. Get a flywheel/clutch for the '85 application, and you'll be fine.

so i need a flywheel clutch out of a 83-85 vett? wouldnt that be a 1 piece rear main? i need a 2 piece

'83-'85 f-body. As in 1983-1985 Camaro or Firebird. 1985 would be hydraulic, which is why I narrowed it down to that (although the earlier cable clutch parts may be the same - I'm not sure and I'm too lazy to do the research right now).
One-piece didn't start until 1986. That's why I said '83-'85. (Wouldn't matter if Vette, they'd be two-piece until 1986 as well.)

I am in the same process and from what I've read and seen you will need the 10.4" clutch and pressure plate. I think that was what you were asking
