91 to an 87

so i need some opinions on this subject i have a 1991 firebird 305 with a tbi. I just found a 1987 trans am blue and silver perfect paint and body and its tpi with a rod through the block. my car needs a new paint job and the front bumper and passager side trim on the door. so what my question is...should i just put the tpi on my car use the parts i need and keep it for scrap or should i drop my 305 into a trans am that was a 305.(im going to change it to a tpi anyways.) but for the sake of the trans am i just think that it just needs a 350 so ppl let me know opinions

Pick up the Trans Am if it's nice enough in the end to replace the car your currently driving. Skip the 305 idea. Skip the bird's body work. Just drive it while you build or purchase a replacement 350 or 383 long block to replace the bad motor in the Trans Am. Then, set the bird free!

Good luck with your choice

A different subject... Have you tried to obtain a title? It's not hot is it? Have leins against it? If not, you can get titles replaced easy enough. Just a trip to the county court house clerk or DMV, depending on the state. File for replacement title, pay the fees and be done with it. Never a good excuse for "no title".

Pursue the title. There are ways to get it released. The specifics will be unique to your state, so research that (90% of us here wouldn't have the right path, so listening to what we would do probably won't apply to you).
