any help please

i have an 89 firebird formula...its got a 350 in it tpi..pretty sure stock, how do i know if its a formula 350 or just a formula that sum1 dropped a 350 into ?

cool so it is a formula 350 then..are these any more "special" than a normal firebird 350 ?

Formula is a style package like Z28, GTA, RS etc. The 350 TPI will be an L98

Checking the VIN number can tell you if the car originally had a 350 or not from the factory. That doesn't mean it still has a 350. It could just as easily be a 305. Checking the block casting number can tell you if it's a 305 or 350.

Depending on the transmission and diff gear ratio, there are 2 different 350 Formulas and 4 different 305 Formulas.

mine was stock with the 350 and the b and w rearend with the 700r4
