Manifold help please!!!
Does anybody know what is the biggest single plane intake that will fit underneath a stock 89 trans am hood? I have a 406 sbc in the car with a victor jr intake. My cylinder head guy said that the victor jr only flows 250cfm and my intake valve flows 330cfm. Basically my manifold is to small. If anybody has a big single plane intake under a stock Ta hood I would appreciate any input. I was thinking maybe a super victor or a brodix hv 1003. Also I forgot to mention I am running a holley 1000cfm carb. Any info would really help.

Best bet would be a tape measure..... you could always port that manifold out a little to. You could probably also email edelbrock to get the measurements for the intakes.

Re: Manifold help please!!!
Thanks for the reply. I would measure the height with a tape measure but the motor is at the machine shop. The Victor Jr is listed at a height of 4.5 inches. I also had a 1 inch spacer plate wich would be 5.5 inches. I see edelbrock and brodix list the manifold height online. When I look at Dart or Weiand they list no measurements. So if anybody knows if you can fit a manifold taller than 5.5 inches with a holley 4150 carb please let me know. Thank's again.
