what kind of power am i looking at
i know its not a fbody but this form is really helpful
i have a 1990 s10 with a 350 from a 78 impala and 373 posi
the motor came with 170hp and about 250trq. so what i wanna know is what would i be looking at for hp/trq if i added 2.02 heads, .488 lift cam, rpm intake. and a 650 edelbrock.
so with that a TH350 and 373 posi. what do you think i wll be putting down. and if some one has any clue of a 1/4 mile time?
thanks alot guys. and i do still have my firebird. but this s10 is my project with my dad.

Insufficient information. The typical "2.02 heads" are 882 boat anchors. No different than what your '78 350 engine had, just bigger valves that don't help a lick with flow.
Give us casting #'s, that would be real information.
Or, just do Vortec heads.
Again, insufficient information. Need duration, LSA #'s.
Why?

Re: what kind of power am i looking at
As an automotive machinist who has done countless 350s, let me make some assumptions. One, the heads are World S/R Torquers, Not great, but you could see 375 HP. Reusing a cam, but in a different block, means buying new lifters. I assume it's a common, old-tech, generic, with 234 duration at fifty. And a lobe sep of 112. For what you propose to do, I'd say it'll turn 6000 rpm, and I'd advise starting with a 2400 stall torque converter.
