I am putting an Lt1 into my 83 trans am, i was wondering if anyone out there knows of a good set of long tube ceramic coated headers that will work.

Re: Long Tube headers?

Long tubes bring their own set of problems for third gens, for a daily driver, there are the Hedman 1.625", which seem to be easier to drive with than the Hooker Super Comp 1.75", which you really don't need until you exceed 450 horses. Neither of these will pass an emissions inspection. For that you'll need to go shorty.

Re: Long Tube headers?

Are the Heddman's Ceramic coated? I was on Jegs and Summit and found the long tubes but they were painted. If so do you have a part number for them. Thanks
