I'm so tired of idiots.. someone please help me.

So i blew the 305, yanked it and built my 355. When i was taking out the 305 i cut and capped all the sensor wires and injector wires(pretty much everything but the coil, 3 ground wires, starter, and the fan). 3 months later, and damn near every dollar i have, i got this beast rolling. At first i had a 750 double pumper(had no idea at the time when i got it. It was free!) and fighting with the idle, i set it at 1600 and drove it around the block twice. A week later, it would just die after about 30-40 seconds of idling. SO i took off the holley, realizing it was WAY too much carb, and that might have been the problem. Now, i have a NEW Edelbrock 600 and i got it all installed. I fire it up, adjust the idle and mixture screws, and go to rev it and it just about falls on its face. I thought maybe the fuel pressure wasnt high enough. So i gave the regulator a few turns and tryed it again. Then the idle starts dropping. so i turn the screw on the reg back in, thinking i did something wrong. Then it decides to die. So i go to the carb, pull the throttle open a few times, and no gas is coming out. I disconnect the fuel lines and when i turn the key, it sends fuel for 2-3 seconds. Then it stops. Even when i crank it, no gas comes out.
The old motor was an 1988 305 TBI if it helps anyone.
Sorry for the long post, i'm just trying to be specific.
I really apreciate any advice
Thanks,
Cameron

what happens if you crank it long enough for oil pressure to register????

the fuel pump circuit is a redundant circuit
it will run the fuel pump even if you have the fuel pump relay disconected
the path of power to the fuel pump goes through the oil pressure switch (must wait for single digit psi reading for power to pass through switch)

Ummm us idiots are trying to help you ............ like I said in your other post with lot less information from you then this one..... The fuel pump runs 2-3 seconds to prime your fuel system then shuts off unless your oil pressure sensor tells the system to keep the pump running or shut it down because of no oil ....... here is a diagram
that shows the fuel pump set-up now if you cut most of the wires out then you just need to run a keyed power wire directly to the fuel pump
