How sure?

How sure is everyone about the need to replace the fuel lines when going from a TBI to TPI? I was just wondering because some restoration places only list fuel injected or carbed application for OE restoration.

Which lines, the hard lines to the engine compartment, or the rubber lines from the hard lines to the engine?

Re: How sure?

The entire system is what I heard before but it doesn't seem like GM to make a non-universal fuel system. The ylike to usually keep things set up where things are interchangable so they don't have problems on the line. I can see replacing the front line to the fuel rail, but the others are the same size and as said before most places only ask if it is fuel injected.

I can only say this 2nd hand, since I've never personally owned an EFI 3rd gen, but I was of the understanding that the hard lines are the same, regardless of EFI type.

Re: How sure?

They are for EFI cars

All EFI cars had hardlines on the drivers side, carb cars on the passenger side
Canister lines varied as to year and engine but are not considered fuel lines
