TPI and 700R4 to Carb and TH350
TPI and 700R4 to Carb and TH350
Couple of quick questions. Will there be a problem getting the factory gauges to work? Will the speedo cable from the 700 work with the TH350? Will the drive shaft have to be longer? I knowI will have to make a x-member for the tranny and mount the arm somewhere other than the tail housing. Is there a regulator that can be used to make the TPI in-tank pump work or do I have to change the pickup in the tank and go with an external pump? Right now the car has no motor or tranny and I am trying to decide if I am better off going back to the TPI and 700R4 or if I could have more fun with a carb and TH350 set up. Really would like to make some good horsepower with out all the computure garbage getting in the way.

The drive shaft will work if you use a long tail shaft th350, and you can get a torque arm brace for an 82 z28 that came from factory with the th350. As far as the regulator goes, you can put a regulator under the hood that has a return line on it. Once it gets to like 6 or 7 psi it bleeds the extra fuel back down the return line and back to the tank, I think summit sales them. Your gauges shoud still work but you will have to remove the ses light or it will drive you crazy. Also the 350 is not soing to be as good as the 700r4 on gas ot driving on a long trip.
