1986 camaro with 350 horsepower ratings...

I have a 1986 camaro, it has a 350 4 barrel 4 bolt main that was swapped into it. Im not sure but from what the previous owners have told me its a chevy aftermarket crate the dealership put in. It may just be a aftermarket crate as it has chromw valve covers. I have no ideas what kind of horsepower it may or maynot have. I beleive the stock 350's from 86 had 230bhp

Here are pics if it will help:

I imagine the best way to find out is to get it dyno'd.

Looks more like a truck engine with chrome valve covers.

Pull a valve cover and get the head casting #. That will tell you a lot right there. I'm guessing the casting # will end with "624" or "882", in which case I hope you didn't pay more for the car because of the "350 HP" claim.
