86 Firbird engine swap 2.8L V6 to 350
I have a 1986 Firebird that I just bought a couple of days ago and its not running right. It has the 2.8L V6 in it. But for $300 and a straight body with no rust and everything else on the car, including the interior, perfect I would like to think its a steal. (Even the dash which is original has no cracks in it.) I was even able to drive it home. But anyways, I'm considering swapping the motor to a 350 and I'm just wondering if the 700R4 transmission I have will work a a 350.

the 2.8 trans will NOT work behind a 350, it won't bolt up, and it won't hold the torque. Sorry.

problem solved $1,340-$1,940 shipped depending on what you're looking for. That's where I'm getting my transmission when my LS3 swap takes place.
