need help

I have a 1985 Camaro Z28 with the LG4, 5 spd. The engine has over a 140000 miles on it. It still runs great, but I'm ready to move to the next level. I was considering purchasing the 350 HO crate engine from GM performance parts. If I put this new engine in, about how much would the value of the car increase? also what would i need to buy if I did the swap. I know i can keep the carb. but what about the distributor, other stuff.

if you kept every reciept i doubt you'd increase the value to a potential buyer. it's still a old car with a differant engine to most people.

if you are going to build it for yourself, then go for it, but if you are gonna do the swap and then sell it, i would say leave it alone and just sell it. as far as what you can keep, if it were me i would get a new carb and either rebuild an old vacuum advance distributor or buy one of summit's specials
