electric fuel pump

my camaro was originally fuel injected and i left the stock fuel pump. now i have a few questions as to what to do with it as far as power for the pump goes. someone told me to wire it to a switch in the dash (which would make an awesome theft deterent system). then someone told me to do it to the oil pressure sending unit (which would be alright except for the fact i can't find the wire and didn't think about this problem when i did the motor swap and i hace no idea how to read the schematics in the haynes manual). then someone told me to run it off the power wire for the distributor which sounds like a good idea to me. my question is would it be ok to run it off the power wire for the distributor?
if its not then screw it i'm just going for the switch idea because i gave up on finding the oil pressure switch. thanks for any help.

You must not have looked very hard for a switch. I found it in about 10 seconds in a Jegs catalog.

First off, don't ever run an electric fuel pump without some type of safety cutoff tied to the engine! Second, you can wire it many different ways, but you will still need to use a relay. OK you don't have to, but I wouldn't do without one.

I use an oil pressure switch from Holley. The Jegs part number is 510-12-810 and is ~$25 phone number is 1-800-345-4545. You can connect it to any of the plugged oil ports on the lower side of the block. I connected mine to the first one on the driver side.
