can a LT1 be put in a second gen and be carbrated?
Guys a might be buying a LT1 for short money and it is complete except for the intake manifold and up. I need to run it carb not FI. Can this be done? Is there a manifold for this? I also need the front of the motor components , pullys , blancer , water pump , alt. , things like that . Are the different than a normal small block? Or could i use any parts for an older motor? HELP
Good news, sort of... first, try ZOOPS and march Performance for brackets. They have several brackets available for custom installations. Also, to my knowledge a Corvette 1992-1996 bracket set works well (assuming you can find/afford one) as for intakes, GM performance parts has a 4Brl non egr dual pattern intake. i think its around $200. Pace, SPDC, and others sell them online. Hope this helps. Oh yeah, zoops is online at http://www.zoops.com and March at http://www.marchperf.com
