i want to mke some power and i would like you guy's opinions on which to go for....stroking my 305 or buying a 4 bolt main 350 and stroking it out to 383. what would be the advatages and disadvantages to each?

future mods: headers, removing smog equipment, and as many cheap mods as i can find

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
The 305 stroked and .030 over is only 334 but has small cylinder bores. A 350 stroked and .030 is 383 but has larger cylinder bores. Both will have an increase in torque but the larger bore 350/383 will produce more HP.
The same stroker crank is used in both. You either find a 400 crank and have the mains turned down to fit in the 305/350 blocks or buy an aftermarket crank, balancer and flexplate.
Buy a 350/383. Trying to make power out of a 305 is the wrong way to go.

Best ET on a time slip: 11.857 altitude corrected to 11.163
Best MPH on a time slip: 117.87 altitude corrected to 126.10
Altitude corrected rear wheel HP based on power to weight ratio: 476.5
Best 60 foot: 1.662
Racing at 3500 feet elevation but most race days it's over 5000 feet density altitude!
