Okay im looking for my 3rd Gen Camaro now. I want a TPI cause the way they look. But im goin to swap a 350 in. I want to buy a crate motor and use the TPI. What am i getting myself into? Is it that hard? Or should i just use a carb? Whats involved.

Check out the tech article "EFI to Carb" and then reverse the process. Instead of taking out the wires you would have to connect all of them which would most likely be one of the toughest parts. I would just stick with the carb and save yourself the electrical headaches.

or buy a painless wiring harness. and follow the directions. fuel injection really isnt that hard to deal with. just expensive. and you have to know what you are doing. but i would go with the fuel injection. it is a better engine management system.

Been there, done that. I have an 85 T/A that had a 305 TPI when I bought it, now I have a 350 with an Edelbrock RPM intake and a Holley 750cfm Carb and haven't given it a second thought... First, I can see nearly every moving part just by rolling my eyes around. Second, if it does have a problem, my account isn't bled to death on repairs because anyone with a set of wrenches that can read a manual can strip a carb themself. Third, how can anyone think fuel injection looks better? To me, there's nothing that gets my blood flowing like a dual high rise intake with a couple of 750 double-pumpers sittin' on top!!! OHH OHH OHH!!!
(You asked for opinions! I got plenty... Maybe I'm just old-school though.)
