What else does the computer control besides gauges?
Switching out to a carbed 350. Wondering what else the computer controls on a 91RS then the guages and torque converter. If i tear out the computer will i have to replace the gauges, and what else. And please dont say just keep the computer...because i have to get a new computer so im trying to decide whether or not i can just ditch it.Thanks

It doesn't control the gauges.
It manages fuel delivery, distributor timing, and the TC clutch, nothing else except possibly the cruise control. If you swap to a carbed motor you'll need to get a non-computerized distributor and you'll have to do something about the fuel pressure. Other than that, it's a pretty simple swap.

RB83L69 is correct I did the switch and all my gauges are working fine. Just get an electrical fuel pump and another distr. that's not controlled by a comp. and it'll be fine. I didn't get a TC clutch, just a good aftermarket trans cooler.
(I don't even know if mine came with a lockup TC ?!?)
