Electric fuel pump swap
Electric fuel pump swap
I'm in the middle of my V6 to V8 swap.
I have the motor and tranny in and the drive
shaft hooked up (went pretty smooth after
changing the motor mounts, still cursing that
obstacle). Here's the problem, I wanted to drop the fuel tank and pull out the electric fuel pump and use a mechanical one. However, now I'm having second thoughts. What do I need to use the electric pump? The engine will use a road demon carb (91 RS Camaro).

Get a Mallory 3-port adjustable regulator (65 psi - 5 psi) and use your stock pump. You can get a TPI fuel rail adaptor kit from ACCEL to go from your stock fuel line to -6AN fittings. This will allow you to utilize your fuel return line to help keep your stock pump lasting for a long time. Simple as pie
