383 stroker carb/TPI
383 stroker carb/TPI
I've got a 1990 IROC Z with a TPI 305, l live in illinois, and have emissions once every 2 years l beleive, and l was wondering if l would be able to swap a 383 stroker with a 4 bbl into my camaro and possibly get around emissions l also have some other questions:
a. will a non compuer controlled 383 stroker with a bbl be fairly compatible with the TH 700R4 speed transmission?
b. will anything be non-functional after the swap?
c. would I be better off swapping in an originally carbed car?
d. will l have a tough time with exhaust since its only single outlet?
e. will l pass emissions (thats the least of my worries though)
thanks very much

If you use the TPI on the 383 than you could pass emissions. Since it is coming off a 305 though you need to get bigger injectors. I used the stock 22# injectors with my 383 for a long time without problems but 19 # injectors is pushing it.
