Well, the main thing that turned me off of the RamJet motor was the lack of an oxygen sensor so it can operate in a closed-loop mode. So, ok, I'm back to my original plan with the miniram 350TPI. Then imagine my excitement when I discover Arizona Speed & Marine (www.azspeed.com) came out with a kit to add an O2 sensor to the RamJet thereby increasing performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions (July 2001 Super Chevy). Then I saw the price.... $450.

Anyone think that's worth it? I feel it's probably worth about $140 unless the gains are incredible. Any theories on it's benefits? Maybe someone here will feel like writing them and finding out the gains or some realworld numbers...

 

If it's a wide band sensor then it's a fair price.

 

For $450 you get custom programming (for any mods like heads and cam) AND the O2 sensor stuff.

You can get just the programming for $350.

I wonder if they will just charge $100 to add the O2 sensor option to the stock computer or if you HAVE to have the programming too? Its probably a package deal not offered seperately, who knows.
