i just got a 400 the other day and the guy said to have it magnafluxed and if it had a crack to bring it back to him and get another block but i was wondering how much mugnafluxing is? what is the highest that someone has ever had and what is the lowest? thanks Ty.

Well, it is usually a package process, boil(clean), magnaflux(check for cracks), bore/hone, install cam bearings and freeze plugs.
All that usually runs me 220$ or so.
Think magging the block might be 80-100 since they will need the block cleaned to get it right, you can have no oil or grease on the block to perform this step.
