Has anyone taken a 97-98 Vortech crate engine and put the TPI intake on it. I know you have to re-drill some holes in the heads to let the intake bolt up. But other than that I hear the Vortech Heads are really good. That is what a lot of guys run at the circle track here.

I was thinking of buying the Vortech 350 Crate engine less the intake and stuffing it in. Making a custom PROM and running with it.

you need more than just regular tpi to bolt onto the vortec heads. The intake ports on the head are a different size, so the intake will not line up. Scoggen Dickey has been working on a tpi intake to solve this for like a year now, but it has yet to hit the market.
