will my trans hook up?
ok well im thinking of swapping in a 335 sroker into my 2.8 camaro
the trans is auto and i believe its the 700r4. they didnt put in any different trans in em did they? but anyways what i need to know is if the trans is gonna bolt up to my v8

Nope. The 2.8 is a 60 degree V6 and small blocks are 90 degree V8s. They have different cylinder banks, therefore the trannies will not bolt up.

More to the point, they have different bellhousing patterns, therefore the V6 tranny won't bolt up to a V8.
A 4.3l V6 tranny will bolt up to an SBC, however. The 4.3 is a 90 degree V6. But, a 3.8 V6, which is also 90 degree, has an even different bellhousing pattern, so a tranny from that engine will not fit either your 2.8 or a 350.
That's GM for you...

a new 3.8L with tranny from a totaled bird should be cheap. there isn't nearly as much demand for those as for the LT1s and LS1s.
