So I have a 305 FI 1991 Firebird Formula and I love the car but I am wanting a little more power behind the wheel. The original plan was to rebuild a 350 with aftermarket internals and power it with twin turbos to hopefully put out around 500-600 HP but the cost is pretty high. I have a 360 from my old plymouth trailduster and I know it may be a stupid question but would it be very difficult to swap out my 305 for this 360? Does anything bolt on?

 

Absolutely nothing swaps over between the two

There is no aftermarket support for a chrysler engine in the pontiac, so all swap related items will be custom. Extremely high cost unless you fabricate everything yourself

 

Pretty much exactly what I thought but wanted to double check. Can you instead recommend a buget engine to swap to while still attaining the desired HP. I was thinking a 350.

 

Single turbo 5.3 LM7

 

Can the LM7 handle the turbo stock and if so how much psi should I boost? And how much HP can I expect to get from bone stock? By the way thank you so much really means a lot. I just don't really have anyone to ask.
