hi i am going to swap my 350 into my 86 z with 305 tpi. was wondering how much did u guys pay for the cleaning and boring and all that good stuff for ur engine was, wanting to bore it .030,thanks,or should i go farther??

 

The machining cost will vary greatly from region to region for example I got mine done hot tank, mag,bored .030 over, align honed for $119.67.Thats because I live in the middle of nowhere. Call around to various machine shops and get prices, but don't skimp on the machine work, get the best u can afford, as this is the base for all your future mods

 

i got all my stuff hot tanked for 40, bored and honed for 110, crank cleaned and polished for 35, and heads done(with guides) for 150. like the other guy said, dont skimp on this ****. if youve heard bad stuff about one place, but theyre a little cheaper, go to the more expensive one. theres a haydens auto store around here and i wouldnt trust them with a scrap block. they ARE that bad. go to someone respectable, and oyu wont be sorry. talk to people, alot of guys run machine shops out of their garages on their off time, some are good, some are not.
