wiring nightmare going nuts!!

ok before i give up and go nuts i am going from tpi to carb in my 85 camaro tpi motor is shot i have a carb engine laying around so im putting that one in now the motor is in but when i look at all the wiring i get a big headache lol i have no idea where to begin on hooking up the wires (starter,alt. dist.) any ideas or pictures or anything also since i will not be useing the computer can i just take it out or will that mess up any wires that are hooked up thanks.

Are you going with a computer controlled carb or a non computer controlled carb? That determines the answer to a lot of your problems. Also, have you removed all of the wiring from the car? I would say hopefully not, as basics such as the starter would just have to be hooked back up to the new engine with no changes. A little more info would help out a little here. But if you are going with a non computer controlled carb and distributor, there is not all that much that you will have to worry about. Switched power to the coil, electric choke power, and not much else really.
