L82 Iroc ?

Ive just found an l-82 out of a 1979 corvette
I was just able to see it today..
The price is real good, but cant check anything..
I dont mind loosing a bit of money compared to the gain I get if it checks out..
It is nown to burn oil.. Thats it..
Any suggestions ?
Thx
ps(is the 5 spd strong enough? im planning on around 400 hp)

Burning oil is not a good thing.....

About the tranny, in 88 they started putting the world class t-5 into our cars... The old BW one will not take the abuse..... Heck, the WC t-5 is not recommended to be behind a stock L98....

Find a T-56 if you are going to be making 400hp with any motor...

Beautiful car, several mods, but now I am turning attention to the 'bird!
