no fuel to injectors

As the title says, I'm not getting any fuel to the injectors. Its a 91 TA that was originally a 350 TPI. It is in the process of getting swapped to a 305 TPI from a 91 IROC. The fuel pump is working, and the lines are pressurized, but no fuel is being pumped thru the injectors. The oil pressure sending unit is hooked up and working properly. A small amount of voltage is being read thru the multimeter where the injectors plug into the harness, and the injectors ohms tested OK. when fuel is sprayed into the plenum it fires and runs for a few seconds, but then dies. The original 350 computer and chip is being used, if that would effect it at all, but was told it wouldn't. Any tips or hints to get the car running again would be much appreciated

Ok, as much as you want to say that your fuel pump is working, you might want to re-check that perticuliar part again. The tool that you need to check that is about 30 bux but it is well worth it, you will need it in the future for any other changes that you might want to do. In recent events i have found out that fuel pumps just dont kill over, they die really slowly and will shoot out the proper amount the first few seconds or minutes when it is cold, but after those seconds or minutes of glory, it just seems to die, or almost die. What you need to do is, to check your fuel pressure when the engine is started and watch the pressure, then you need to watch the pressure when you first turn the key to the on possistion. I use my fuel pressure gauge a lot, now that I have one. Any time the car won't start (or acts funny), I throw the gauge on, and if I get the correct pressure, I know the fuel system is working correctly.

You can also check the vacuum line to the fuel regulator for the presence of fuel. If there's fuel in the vac line the regulator's probably shot.

You should get a certain amount of PSI (42?) doing as Dan said (key turned from "off" to "on", but engine not cranked). If you don't, you can crimp the fuel return line (line going back to the tank) shut with a shop towel and vise grips, and check pressure again (key to on, engine stopped). This makes the lines hold the pump's max (dead head) pressure, which is 60 PSI. If THAT happens, your regulator's shot. If it doesn't happen, it's the pump.

I hope it's your regulator; I've put two pumps in my car already; it's not a fun job.
