You need to find out if you don't have power or ground. Use a normal test light. Key on they should have power. The computer gets a signal from the distributor and the computer sends a ground to the injectors. No power could be a fuse(s) and no ground could be a bad ign module. Could also be any wire in between.

Where did you put your noid light and how? You should see 2 fuses in the fuse box, inj1 and inj2 (10A), for each injector bank. If the key is in run, you should see 12volt at the injectors on the pink/black wires. The light green and light blue wires are the ECM grounds. The ECM grounds both banks once per crank revolution but in matters of milliseconds (1.5-2.0ms at idle). So I don't know if it's measurable with conventional tools. When the ECM grounds the injectors, the voltage should go down. Do you have spark at your plugs? Could be the ignition module like suggested by aliceempireOriginally Posted by Brcharrelson

Thanks for the info !!fuses are good, after removing wiring plug from injector Placed the noid light on the plug both banks with key off and on ,noid light never came on.is there any way to test the ignition module???also tested spark plug with inline tester,no problems there either!

As far as testing the ignition module I am not knowledgeable on that! It is a high voltage coil. You could check the ohms resistance on primary and secondary and compare to specs (specs could be found on internet). Also you could check if 12Volts is present at primary coil. I don't remember if in 1989 the coil was on top of the HEI distributor. It could be on the firewall but I think it started in 1990. Have you investigated the EGR valve? Also if you could have an assistant to crank, you could put your finger on the injector and feel if it's clicking.
If it has been sitting for a year and a half, the gasoline could be rotten too!

Take a normal test light. Hook it up to a good ground. Turn key on. Use test light for power at injector harness. Simple.
It is a divorced coil, it is not in the cap. Post 86 cars were mostly this way. If you have spark it doesn't matter.
If you still suspect the module (as in the no ground at injectors from ecm) then you can remove it from the dist and have it tested at a parts store. Most parts stores have a tester.

Very helpful thanks a lot guys ! I'm new to tpi system

Ok. Well with one part 'fixed', you have to go back to basics. Figure out now if you have no spark or no fuel. Or both. It still could be any wire or connector in between. And it could also be a different problem rearing its head.
Well I got her running finally !! Siphoned out the gas and replaced it after about ten tries and starter fluid she fired up and I ran her for about 10 mins.downside went out later and won't start so now I got a fuel issue it seems!!! Thanks for all your help!!!
