no power to dash and brake lights on

Ok so I have a 1988 Trans am 5.7. I am doing a carb conversion on. I removed the TPI equipment, the ECM and the wiring from the ECM to the front of the car. I unhooked the VATs module and took out the fuse for VATS. After doing all this I have no power to the dash. My power windows work but the mirrors do not and my rear hatch motor has no power. Also the headlights do not work or go up and down. When the battery is connected the brake lights stay on. The white wire on the column connector gets pretty warm (brake lights). I took out the harness for the cruise control as well.

Any ideas?
