The title pretty much sums it up. When I turn on only my parking lights, the headlights pop up as well. The headlights also pop up as they should when the headlight switch is engaged. I haven't done any modifications and everything is stock.

It's not the switch, as I've swapped it out with 2 others and get the same issue. It's not a big deal since I don't drive around with just my parking lights on, but I hate not having my car right.

 

At least two of my customers mentioned in their review of my TDS 209280 Deluxe Headlight Repair Kit that it solved this problem for them.

Sounds to me like an electrical issue.
Maybe a bad ground somewhere?

 

I'm not selling parts for Lon but I used to see that behavior on the firebirds all the time. Most of the time the people just lived with it because the simplest solution was to replace the motor. I wouldn't be surprised if the repair kit does the trick.

 

Did anyone have a resolve to this?

I rebuilt my motors and still does this.

I hate my popups up at dusk!!

I used to be able to do a fancy switch trick for about 15 years but now they pop up all the time (When lights are on)

Any help would be great.
