Swapping in a gen II 3.8

Hi guys, I'm new to this board. I have a "little" problem: I got a 3.8 liter from a 98 camaro, I wanna replace the 2.8 in my camaro for this 3.8. I wanna know that I need to do to make it work. Do I need diff. heads like on the 3.8 Buick swap? Pistons? Please help, my future plans for this engine are forged internals and a turbo/ supercharger.

You shouldnt have to worry about any of that, right now you need to start looking at engine mounts and headers/manifolds, shouldnt be too hard of a swap, also gonna have fun with the wiring, after that then work on the turbos/forcing.

you will need to get a new tranny. the easiest (cheapest) option as far as the engine goes is to locate a spercharged 3800 II, then sell the motor you have to oofset the price. The super engines allready come equiped with the better materials & and a lower compression to work with (more psi available) check out www.grandprixstore.com for all the goodies they got.

or you can just sell your current engine/tranny setup, get a new trans for the 98 motor and haul *** as is.

I love how everyone hates the 305 v8 while the series II 3.8L is just a 305 with 2 cylinders missing.
