350 swap question
my dad hasa 94 chevy pickup with a 350 in it and i am wonderin how much hp i would gain if i put that in my 86 sc z-28. oh yea am is the dude who told me my 305 h code engine had 150 hp? thanks

You'd see a good bump up, probably into the 250 range, but ONLY if you improve the exhaust from your current system (and none of the truck stuff will fit). If you keep your current LG4 exhaust system, come on by after you put that 350 in, and we'll put on a show on how a little ol' 305 can spank a big bad 350.
You'll also have to do a little modifying of the intake manifold, since your piece has all of the mounting bolts at the same angle, and the '94 will have the center two bolts on each side at a different angle than the rest.
As for your current HP, an '86 Sports Coupe code H LG4 actually had 155 ponies. The Z28's, IROC's and Trans Am's had 165.

Idles smooth @ 700 RPM in D. Best 15.02/95.06 @ 5800' Bandimere (corrected 13.93/102.4 @ sea level).
