Transmission: T400, 700R

got a 84z and thinking about getting a cratemotor from blueprint built 383 vortec and installing as a quick fix to get one of my cars out on the road again. just wondering ifanyone hasbought and used engines from them. they seem tocarry a decent warranty. i waswondering has anyone had any problems or heard any badstufff about them?

i personally had to fix 2 of there motors from the pistons breaking at the top ring land. The ring end gaps were butting together do to lack of end gap. Hyperuetectic pistons need more top ring end gap. My 2 cents on Blueprint.

were the pistons just badly designed for this application or wasit moreof a lack of quality in your opinion. did you happen to have any other problems with them? would it be worth it to just replace the pistons with some flat tops or something similar?

If I was buying a crate, my first call would be Beck. BRE has some great offerings, they've been around a long time.
