Yes, it can (and should) be done. In my search of your head casting #, I came across someone selling a set that said they had hardened seats. Your pictures aren't completely definitive, but I looked as best I could at them before I posted, and it does not appear as though they have hardened seats. In the other site, I would believe them based on their photos.
