question about heads
ok so ive got a 92 rs with a 305 tbi and i happen to have some 350 heads lying around i believe they will fit and bolt up but will they work i was thinkin the main prob with the 305 is the fact that they dont flow well and the 350 head will flow a bit better until i can get the 350 built the way i want it anyway the difference im concerned about is the combustion chamber being a different size than my cylinder anyways just wanting to wake the 305 up a bit while working on the other motor so any help would be appreciated

Re: question about heads
right idea, wrong approach. Your 305 only has 8.8:1 compression, and 350 heads aren't going to help any. What you want is a pair of LB9 heads, the last 3 digits of the casting number are 081. The best way to start is with 3.42:1 gears in place of your 2.73:1s. Also, even the LO3 you have will respond to headers and a 3" cat back.
