I am currently swapping out the 2.8 v6 and going to a 350 carb setup, i was wondering with the wiring what do i need to keep if any ?? i did a search but came up with nothing, if you can help i would appreciate it

The main engine connections are the starter, the alternator and the coil. Most of the rest is now useless.

Along with engine temp and oil pressure and tach.
The stuff you won't be using goes to the computer via the passenger side fender well, and can be removed in one piece.

I think that depends on the year of the car. My camaros' harness is one piece, the computer wiring being taped together with the wiring coming from the driver side as well.Originally Posted by five7kid

What five7 said. Also be sure to cover the hole left where the harness passes through the body to keep water and unwanted guests out. I used a plate I made from aluminum.
On Probation
The V6 tach is now useless, and the V8 will run without a tach, or a temp gauge, or an oil pressure gauge. And it being a base model, they're probably useless idiot lights instead of useful gauges anyway.
