SDPC Crate motor

I'm thinking about dropping in a SDPC TPI 350 crate motor in my tired '91. Anyone had any luck with this motor?

Re: SDPC Crate motor

Guess I should make myself more clear. Its the 350 with the Vortec heads and intake. Rated at 357 horses and 416 torque. Quite the upgrade from a stock L98 I would imagine.

I'm sure it will be just fine and is a lot more powerfull than what you have. Just keep in mind that the TPI Vortec intake manifold is the lowest flowing one out there if you ever plan on doing more.

Re: SDPC Crate motor

Thanks for the input Guys. Sorry about not explaining the SDPC part. I just got their new catalog in the mail and they have me thinking about a crate motor with the LT4 Hot Cam and fast-burn heads now. 430hp/430 torque. Nice.

"430hp/430 torque"

I wonder how they achieved those number on the dyno. For example what headers and exhuast system was used? What did the air intake system look like? Curious minds would like to know.
