distributor help for 350 swap
I am almost done with my engine swap. It is a non computer controlled 350 with holley 670 street avenger carb. The car use to be a 305 with computer controled qjet. The block is from a chevy c10 76-78.
Summit sold me this carb. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-850001R/
Now looking at it the electrical clips going into it dont match the old ones. And it says that it has no mechanical tach drive. So what do i need to make it work with the tach. Do i need a new tach, did I get the wrong distributor im at a lost.
Thanks
Eric

Your old tach connector is different because you had computer-controlled timing before. Now you only need the switched +12V and tach wires. You don't need anything to make it work with the tach. The tach cable drive is for old Corvettes.

Thanks
So the tach will just work I don't need to connect any special wires for it?
Now i guess i need to find a clip to get the 12v power going to it.

There's just one wire that'll connect to the tach terminal on the distributor, and it'll work.

Re: distributor help for 350 swap
Thanks Seems easy enough. Would a local auto part store have a connector that would fit it or do i have to go through summit?
