just a quick question..please?
im am looking to replace my 305 in my 91 rs..(i know I should go 350)..I found a rebuilt 93 vortec 305 i want to buy but i need to know if my TBI intake and my stock 305 heads are gonna fit...any info is greatly appreciated!

Yes, "Vortec" refers only to the heads and intake. The blocks are generic.

They will fit, but be aware the LO3 heads are plain awful
Also, vortec's werent around in 93. Most likely its another TBI engine so its the same thing as you have currently. Vortec refers to the revamped cyl heads. They're easy to ID because they only have 4 intake bolts per side and they are strait up. Standard SBCs have 6 per side at an angle. Many uninformed sellers label anything with centerbolt valve covers as "vortec" then they're not
