I am thinking of picking up a camaro from a buddy with a 305. It doent run needs a fuel pump or something along those lines. I had a 89 rs with 305 and i know they are no performance motor. I am thinking of while redoing the entire fuel system I would like to swap a fuel injected 454 from a 96-2000 pickup truck. I will most likely keep it stock maybe headers. I was wondering with fuel injection will the stock hood work and what other fittment issue will i run across

The sticky at the top of the forum explains what's involved in doing a BBC swap into a third gen.

Any better than stock manifold with a carb won't work with a stock hood so I doubt the vortec intake would fit under a stock hood. Factory exhaust manifolds are difficult or won't fit without modifications. Aftermarket swap headers are expensive but a better choice.
