92 RS| 305 V8 swap to a 3.4l V6
I have a 92 Camaro RS with a 305 and 190k miles. The motor has just about had it. I also have a 95 3.4l V6 with 80k miles, and it runs great but I smashed the front end along the side of a cliff. I was wondering what it would take to swap out the engines or if it's even plausible. If someone told me what I needed I would take pics of the whole operation and keep a solid work log and post it.

you would be better off just buying a new v8 or rebuilding yours, to swap the v6 in you would need to replace your springs in the front, get a diffrent transmission, you would need an ecm to run it, diffrent motor mounts etc

I have the 460LE trans and Ive read that you can use it on the 92's. I also have the ECM for the V6. How much electrical work would I have to do in order to replace the computer it has?

Another idea, if I was to buy a 89 Firebird, take the engine out of the 92 RS, the 305, rebuild it, and put it in the firebird it would be easier than trying to swap out different generation parts, correct?
