Removing SBC frame pads?
Hey just wondering what is the most effective way to remove the origanal frame mounts for the SBC motor mounts. I have the back of the car lifted right now so I couldn't look to hard under the front. I thought of just tack welding the underside of the bolts and zapping them out but I dont know if you can get anything under there.

Take the A arms out for better access to the nuts inside the K member.

Sounds like a good time to change the front springs. I am going to need 6 cyl springs. Maybe i'll just do it all in one shot.
Thanks

I get a huge extension with a swivel head and jack the front end up. It takes like an hour to do it this way and you need somebody to help you... it sucks.

that was my thinking too, along with getting new bushing pressed into the arms and some new ball joints while i was at it. worth it to do the job once and freshen things up a bit while you're in there.
