V6 Performance T5!!!!!

OkAY........ i just bought an rx7 with a NASTY v8. I have a V6 camaro, I want to get into drifting, but cant with the V8/th350 trans..... So my thought was to get the rear gears from a 97 z28, put the 350 in the camaro with a 700r4 tranny just to get to work and cruise around. because I was about to drive the rx7 to my work and install my new wheels i just bought, but the tranny would quickly shift from 1-2 then when it was time to go to third, it would just rev up and not go anywhere.

SO therefore, I was thinking about doing the swap into my camaro, (heres the good part) Take the V6 and 5 speed and put it into the rx7 because Im SOOOOOO familliar with the engine and tranny. ive been driving this v6 5speed FOREVER. so im really comfortable with it. So if I rebuilt the v6, forged crank and rods with aluminuim pistons and a nice cam and turbo the V6. I think I can push like 250-300 hp out of it. I really want to drift and i already have most of what i need.....

this topic is about the rx7, but I need some input from everyone PLEASE!
also about the performance of the v6.... like a catalog where i could get the stuff. PLEASE HELP!!!

Re: V6 Performance T5!!!!!

The T5 will never survive the rigors of drifting.

Check the V6 area for information on turboing, etc of the V6

If it was about the Camaro, it could be discussed here.

If you want V6 info, then check out the V6 forum.
