Please help me with my restoration!!

Hi, this is my first post and im a happy new owner of a third gen ive had the car for almost 2 months already already started rebuilding the t5 tranny that was in the car and also changed the old exhaust system to the magnaflow catback , I wanna do the best restoration I could do, I been reading the theards for weeks now but im a newbie on cars and I dont understand much. If someone could help me with my engine , I wanna swap it with one that will give me the most hp without changing much right now its a 305 v8 5.0 , what do you guys think would be better for my car,

Thanks

there is plenty you could to..we need to know a budget though you can put a 350 or a 400 sbc..and do lots to the motor or you can put a big block in it or you can put an ls series motor and put a cam in it and whatever else you please and get great hp along with fuel mileage

Re: Please help me with my restoration!!

I was thinking about $1500 to $2000 for an engine I dont know if that too cheap . I have no idea I just seen rebuilt engines for the TA for $1000 online, but if I find on junk yards I can rebuilt and stuff,

its alittle cheap but you can do great with it find a rebuilt one and add a cam heads intake and carb you should be fine if your going to run a 350 use some 416 305 heads to get some higher compression
