Re: i need help :(

i have some questions

1- how much can i bore out the block .. when i remove the piston i see the size and it write on it 20 and when i try to make polish for the liner in the shop the mechanic tell me that i cant bore it to fit piston size 30 i can only bore it to fit piston size 40 and i didnt see any damage with the liner and the car was working smooth so if i use piston size 40 ill i have problem with over heat the engine ? and what is the maximum piston size i can but on it

2- is there a big different between c4 heads and the 350 heads exapet that one off them is made from alumimom and the other one is made from iron ill one off them have more advantage then the other one ?

3- im trying to get 750 curb and i need good cam for daily use which one is good

Re: i need help :(

If you are swapping to carb, 750 is too much - look at 650.

The machine shop will tell you what you need as far as boring goes - let them do what they are trained to do.

No F-body ever came with a 350 TBI - so you better make sure it's a 350 before you bother - get block casting numbers (driver side behind the head) - if it's a 305 instead (which is what I'll bet), then I wouldn't bother getting anything done to it but swap it for a 350.

The big difference is there are a bunch of different 350 heads out there. If your engine is a 350 TBI, then the aluminum Corvette heads are a little better. But, the aluminum Corvette heads aren't much better than some cast iron 350 heads. See response to "3" below.

If you are going with a carb, then I suggest you get Vortec heads and a Vortec carb intake manifold. In order to suggest a cam, we really need to know what block you have - whether or not it is a 350, and whether or not it will take a factory roller lifter cam. If you get the casting number off of the block, then we can go from there. Sometimes the last three digits of the casting number is in large numbers on the side of the block, so you might want to look there first.

Where would you be getting your parts?

I'm sorry for the response you got. I do not know what your native language is, but I am betting you speak better English than we do your language.
