LT Block with Gen I heads
LT Block with Gen I heads
I found a couple of threads on this issue but seemed to get some conflicting information.
I want to keep my Gen I heads/Smog stuff because of CA emissions issues. I have a rod knock and need to replace my 350 shortblock. I don't want to do a full LT1 swap and just want to swap the bottom half out. I have access to a good deal on an LT1 shortblock. I am running TPI and therefore have a working electric fuel pump. Can I just bolt up my old heads and intake manifold to the LT1 block and make this work?
Thanks.

Re: LT Block with Gen I heads
No.... It will not be a direct bolt on... You could do it, but not worth it after paying the machine shop for all the work... Just buy a set of LT1 heads and intake...
